Residential Care Concept 'De Oevers'
As one of Amsterdam's largest healthcare organizations, Cordaan is developing a new construction site in line with the residential care concept 'De Oevers.' The concept has been devised as a blueprint for a residential care facility, aiming to provide high-quality living, well-being, and care for elderly individuals with significant physical and/or mental care needs. The first location, Zuidoever, is being developed in the Zuidas area. The building design is characterized by a contemporary and comfortable aesthetic, distinguishing it from traditional nursing homes and care facilities.
Attention to Exterior and Interior
Extra attention has been devoted to both the exterior and interior design and finishes. For instance, the corridors are designed as orientation points by employing an island structure and utilizing various types of materials that support visual recognition of the residents.
The role of RYSE
RYSE acts as the project manager in the development and realization of the residential care concept Zuidoever, responsible for steering the design process during the design phase, contracting advisors, providing advice on the procurement strategy, guiding the multiple negotiated tendering process, and forming contracts with contractors. During the implementation phase, RYSE serves as the construction management and conducts quality controls, carried out through random sampling, to ensure that the executing parties realize the project in accordance with the contract.
