The concept of Het Platform Utrecht revolves around a microcity and accommodates 201 rental apartments, with additional functions right next to the busiest public transport terminal in the Netherlands. The three most important additional functions are fresh food experience, inspiring working environment and body & mind work-out. By cleverly combining these different functions, encounters and exchanges are stimulated in and around Het Platform. And all this “To connect, share and launch your talent”.

Legal support in the preparatory phase

As an independent consultancy, RYSE has been involved in legal matters on this project from the tender phase. We conducted discussions and coordination with the municipality, provided advice on contract formation, drafted the construction agreement based on UAV-GC (substructure) and NEC3 (superstructure), supported contract negotiations with the contractor, and entered into a collaboration agreement with the parties involved in the station area. Throughout the implementation phase, RYSE guided the entire process and was responsible for project management and supervision during the construction phase.

Integrated Project Management Model

RYSE is involved from the tender phase up to the commissioning and has chosen an approach based on the Integrated Project Management Model (IPM). Within this model, five processes are distinguished, assigning roles to the project manager, project control manager, contract manager, technical manager, and environmental manager. Additionally, RYSE provides project management and supervision during the construction phase. Het Platform was delivered in April 2020.
